LHS has hundreds of animals available for adoption every week. These pictures do not cover all of our animals. Please visit our new shelter to see the great animals waiting for a new home and hopefully you too can Adopt Love.

There is more invested in an LHS adoptable animal than the actual adoption price. These low, reasonable rates help us to adopt every adoptable animal.

Adoption includes:

  • Microchip (permanent I.D.)
  • Spay/neuter surgery
  • First round of vaccinations (including rabies)
  • Mild de-worming
  • Flea treatment
  • Optional 30-Day pet insurance form PetFirst (only $5)
  • Free bag of Science Diet Food (4 lb. or 5 lb.)
  • Free office visit
  • Free grooming visit
  • Heartworm test (DOGS)
  • Feline leukemia test (CATS

Adoption fee does not include the $8 Fayette County animal license. (Cash, Checks, VISA, MasterCard, Discover or American Express)

Property Checks

Certain sizes, weights and breeds of animals require more space than others. And, certain animals' temperaments do not blend well with children and/or other pets. LHS reserves the right to conduct a property check and/or varify allowance of pets on rental property.
